Sheep Studios

Welcome to Sheep Studios.co.uk!

Home is where the Systemic Lupus Erythematosus is.

Err... Hi. This is my website. If it doesn't seam to be working in your browser, it is probubly becuase you are a Brazilian Tree Frog, or maybe because you are running a rubbish browser. Get firefox. It's like Internet Explorer, only much much better. It also doesn't have security problems big enough to drive a truck through.

Get Firefox

So all I need say (in a maner of speaking) - Enjoy!

Blog (ish)

Feisty Fawn Kicked the Bucket.

It's annoying when you have something between your teeth that you just can't seam to shift.

Anyway, back to the point.

I have screwed up my computer. (This was about a month ago)

I was upgrading from Ubuntu Edgy to Feisty, and it died in the middle. Adept said that I had four packages left to go... but when I tried to get them it complained. Anyway, I rebooted, and now it won't boot.

It doensn't even start any virtual termnals, complaining that it has unknown stanzas. Grr...

So I go to windows and try to get an Ext3 driver, but it won't work, becuase they have unfinished journals on them. I can get rid of them by booting into linux.

So that won't work. I'll have to boot from a live CD, to try and fix the broken files. I think I know whats wrong, and there are bug reports on it so it's not too bad.

Worst case, I have to burn a CD to reinstall it from.

It feels so.... wrong using Windows... Everythings so slow and weak....

Damn you Windows!

So thats the story. This was a while ago and I still haven't got it fixed, but I have the Ext3 drivers now so I can get to my web doodles. I want to reinstall, but I don't have a cd burner, but I'll be able to nick my bro's when he's back from uni. Yes, I know it's a bit of a rant, but I was annoyed at the time so meh.

Meh is a really useful word...

The Welsh!?

Arrgh! The Welsh! The Welsh are coming!

Two aliens behind a brick wall: One says to the other: "The Welsh? Ha! That's a laugh".

Don't worry if you don't get it... it's a long story.

A Comments Page!

After a lot of time fiddling trying to get around stuff, and then deciding that it was against the terms and conditions anyways, I can now finaly say that we now have a place for you to leave comments! Yes, I know you will spot the address bar and the title bar say "Ooh! I'm run by Bravenet and I'm a donkey!", but it's free, and I managed to get it to work easily with all the CSS and shtick on this site so it looks almost the same.

Spot the bugs though. I have noticed several so far which I have tryed to fix and failed. It's probubly because Bravenets useless, as there is nothing wrong with my code. If you notice the page resizes slightly, and come text is slightly bigger. The 'Home' link on the main nav bar doesn't work for some reason that I just can't fathom, and the thing has adverts on it. Not too many ads though, and they are fairly descreate.

Well, thats another hard day of work done. I have added one or two more oddments around the place too, most significantly in the Roleplaying section. I uploaded a few things that were lying around on my computer.

Thats all I've got to say... today!

Revamp... no not a replying vampire, that would be silly.

Well, I was kinda bored of the old whiteness, and it didn't look too good either, and now I am so totally 1337 at CSS, I decided to do a revamp of the design and stuff. I must say I like it a lot more than the last design, much more blue. Notice the awesome fade effect, the pillars and the cool menu. It's taken me a while too, mostly going though files changing stuff so they are all right, but it was worth it.

I discovered position: fixed;, which is really awesome, it'll keep something static on the screen, even if the page scrolls. I've used that for the menus, the copyright notice and the pillars, because before it screwed the pillars and stuff if you scrolled down. Yay for position: fixed;! What else have I done...? Made the text one hell of a lot smaller! Loads more can fit on a page now, but I mainly did it to look cool, which it does, and if you can't read it then thats your problem.

Point of Order: If you are running Micro$oft Internet Explorer, which isn't 7, then loads of stuff may be screwed. Basicly I couldn't be bothered to spend the time to get it to work. Just get Firefox and be done with it.

I added a few things in some of the files in passing, but no major content added, I don't think. I can't quite remember what was on the old website. (Yeah, I've had this update thing going a while, hence why the actual website wasn't updated for ages.) Oh yeah, and I've HTML encoded my email addresses, so there is no more taking out of spam-stopping dashes.

Finally, do you reckon this post is long enough so I can test scrolling on my pillars?
