I will give you a bit of background. I have been working on various games, originally done in Dark Basic, but now done in Blender 3D because of it's great physics engine. Anyway, I started off with a game called Kapocapoc. It was ever so slightly random. The main character was a satsuma (a small kinda orange), because I couldn't be bothered to figure any walking animations. It was third person, and quite groovy. Admittedly it had a few problems with standing on stuff, but it was not all that bad. Well, after I got Blender, I began to remake it with better... well... everything. Anyway, I don't know why, but I decided to turn it into a first person one. (Probably because I still couldn't be bothered to do walking) So, Jibby was born.
Don't ask me why I called it Jibby, and I'll put a half decent version of Kapocapoc on-line when I can be bothered to make it nice and spiffy.
Well, I am currently about the stage where I haven't a clue what I'm really doing. I have a nice system, and a few nice low-poly models, but no ideas more than that. I am planing to think up a simple plot and then make that.
The game will be puzzle based, because a first person platformer might not work to well. I may be wrong, but it'll be best if I stick with not much jumping.
Being not much of a modeller myself, though I do like to dabble a bit, donations of models would be appreciated, as would useful python scripts to incorporate in it. I will give you a name and a url in the credits. Yeah, if you want to help, just email me at Jibby@-SheepStudios.co.uk, and remember to take out the dash. It may be annoying, but it stops spam, so I'm happy.
I will try and get a download as soon as possible, when I have a game which actually is a game.
One last point. If you know how to get textures working in games, please let me know. It would be much better if I could, and I'm sure I have seen other blender games that do it.
